Anotace projektu:

The project consortium has agreed on the main objective which is to design interdisciplinary learning materials of high quality which can be used in ELT in transnational educational context. The materials will be validated in all partner countries and their use will have direct impact on the fostering of students’ interdisciplinary competence. The aim is therefore to provide support for teachers and learners in the form of innovative and easy-to-use digital interdisciplinary resources which will be freely accessible online.
In designing interdisciplinary learning materials, the project will (a) implement the action-oriented approach in ELT and other innovative approaches to learning and teaching; (b) use Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) and other virtual and in-person learning opportunities to validate materials designed within the framework of the project.
The project consortium has agreed to produce the following intellectual outputs. They will be created in close collaboration between partner institutions, and are meant to be used by teachers and students in all involved countries as supplementary teaching resources of high quality:
- teaching and learning material in the form of 4 digital resource books with interdisciplinary English lessons focused on humanities (art and culture, literature, history and civic education), with special priority given to the topics of inclusion, diversity, common values and active citizenship;
- platform for collaboration and communication: a virtual resource centre for sharing activities, best practices and peerreviewed lesson plans designed by the members of the project team;
- E-Courses of COIL focused on interdisciplinary learning in which newly designed materials will be validated.
The main objective and the project results derived from it are directly connected with the above mentioned priorities. The collaboration within the consortium will be based on inclusion and diversity, as all participating organisations will contribute to the learning materials, to the platform for collaboration and communication and they will actively participate on COIL, either as teachers or students. This will create an important form of support for teachers who will have materials of high quality for their perusal and will directly benefit from sharing the ideas with others. This kind of support (through materials as well as personal support) can significantly contribute to teachers’ motivation to carry out interdisciplinary lessons. It follows that learners’ interdisciplinary competence as well as their attitude towards interdisciplinary learning can be positively affected by their teachers’ approach.
